Revista Turismo em Análise has been published, uninterruptedly, since 1990 by the Departamento de Relações Públicas, Propaganda e Turismo da Escola de Comunicações e Artes da Universidade de São Paulo [Department of Public Relations, Advertising and Tourism of the School of Communication and Arts of the University of São Paulo]. In 2007, the journal became online (ISSN 1984-4867), published every four months with free access, and the print version (ISSN 0103-5541) was discontinued. Currently, the editorial management relies on the digital platform SEER (Electronic Journal Publishing System), which ensures transparency and universal access to readers and authors, enabling the exchange between national and international institutions.

Revista Turismo em Análise was a pioneer tourism journal in Brazil. Its mission is to disseminate research, scientific experiences and studies developed by faculty, researchers and professionals in the field of Tourism, Leisure and Hospitality. Publications as expected to be original and relevant so that the scientific community and the society can understand and value the specific characteristics of these knowledge areas and sub-areas.

The abbreviated title of this journal is RTA, which should be used in quotations, footnotes and references, when appropriate.
